Patrick was born in Winooski, Vermont and has lived in the state most of his life. As a boy, he loved to read detective novels and try to figure out whodunit, which suits the work he does now. Going into the land records of various towns and figuring out the history of properties involves skill and persistence. The land records in Vermont are located in each town and of the 250 towns in the State of Vermont, he has been to nearly 200. His goal is to have completed title searches in all of them. Patrick lives in the town of Georgia with his partner and three cats. There he loves to ride his bicycle along the lake and over the hills. An avid fitness enthusiast, Patrick has trained and run many marathons, including three Boston Marathons. When not working or working out he reads books related to history, biography, and current events.
