COVID Policy
As a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, Gale & McAllister’s policies for in-person real estate closings have been modified for the protection of our employees and clients. Gale & McAllister will continue to be available to our clients and partners. In order to do so, and to adhere to the directives of the Vermont Health Department and the Governor, we cannot accommodate any in-person meetings/closings at this time, but will be available by phone, email, and virtual consultations. All services we provide have been adjusted to be facilitated remotely, while maintaining confidentiality. It is our sincere wish to meet everyone in-person again, but until we can, our goal is to keep all members of our staff, our clients, and our community as safe as possible. All real estate closings will be conducted via Power of Attorney. At the onset of a transaction, we will coordinate with clients to sign a Power of Attorney document which gives an attorney at Gale & McAllister the authorization to sign closing documents on our client’s behalf. Clients will be provided a copy of the documents for review, and any document to be signed by Power of Attorney must be approved by the client. Documents can be sent and received via fax or encrypted email, and our office is available during business hours for non-contact drop-off and pick-up. As we work through this time together, Gale & McAllister is committed to maintaining the excellent service that is our hallmark. We encourage you to contact us for detailed information as to how we can help you with your needs.
